In June 2022, LR expanded its digital solutions portfolio by acquiring OneOcean, a leading supplier of voyage compliance, safety and environmental solutions. This strategic move was designed to accelerate LR’s ambition to be the maritime industry’s trusted adviser for compliance, safety, performance and sustainability solutions, enabling clients to benefit from more efficient, cleaner, and safer operations.

OneOcean’s solutions are utilised by more than 16,000 vessels worldwide, supporting and optimising compliance, safety and environmental performance. The integration of OneOcean into LR’s existing digital solutions, including fleet management and vessel performance optimisation portfolios, has significantly enhanced LR’s ability to provide comprehensive digital services to the maritime industry.

Following the acquisition, LR unified its digital offerings under the LR OneOcean brand in October 2023. This integrated platform offers a one-stop solution for voyage planning, environmental and regulatory compliance, crew and operations management, and more, streamlining workflows and optimising efficiency for maritime stakeholders.

Averma has been instrumental in the development and continuous enhancement of Findaport.com, a comprehensive online port database originally developed for Shipping Guides Ltd in 2004, built using Ruby On Rails. Following the acquisitions by OneOcean and subsequently by Lloyd’s Register, Averma has continued to provide technical development and support, ensuring seamless transitions and ongoing improvements to the platform. ​
